Learn to Eat Better and Look Better

There have been times when we have all felt under pressure to 'DIET'. It is time to share with everyone how to change the way we eat and not how you might think.Too many of us believe what we see and read about food, but what do you really know.I aim to share my knowledge and successes here on regularly on this blog.

Many diets are about cutting the calories and types of food that you intake but there are major problems with these short term fixes, namely your body will burn itself off to stay alive. What your body will do is get rid of tissue that takes the most calories to maintain and THAT IS MUSCLE. I aim to help you change that and see how to not be hungry or eat anything weird or wonderful.

VERY IMPORTANT!!
Avoid refined goods like white bread, white ,white rice and processed cereals. These have been refined and will not give your body the nutrients it is looking for.So you will store the excess sugar as fat and be hungry for more food all too soon. Over time you are on the way to bigger trousers bigger t shirts, builders bum , bigger food bill and maybe a daily injection of insulin for you diabetes.

Q: I am not sure about this so what can I eat then??

A: It's simple.Choose wholemeal bread,pasta and brown rice

Q: Why

A: No short answer to this but very important to take this in

Wholemeal flour contains much lower levels of high GI carbohydrates than white flour and also higher levels of low GI carbohydrates, which work in the opposite way to high GI carbohydrates, as the low GI carbohydrates contained in wholemeal bread produce the slow release of sugars into the bloodstream. The means that insulin is only slowly released into the bloodstream and in far lower amounts. The metabolism is stimulated as opposed to being inhibited, this then means that your digestive system gets a boost in efficiency and less fat gets stored. Good news if your on your way to bigger Levi 501s.

Wholemeal flour products like brown bread contain high levels of dietary fibre. This is essential for the functioning of the colon and the complete digestion of food and waste elimination. They also contain lower levels of bad LDL cholesterol with higher levels of good HDL cholesterol. This means healthy arteries and a better normalised blood pressure, bringing with it better health and less concern over the negative effects of white bread.
Plus wholemeal bread tastes good and doesn’t have that annoying,''is the bread off taste?'',that massed produced white bread tends to suffer from. Make the switch to wholemeal bread and pasta. Soon you’ll find yourself preferring its superior taste along with all the health benefits and goodness that come with it as part of a healthy, tasty diet.

Q: I think I understand how will this make a difference to me on a daily basis?

A: You will feel better and not suffer from food cravings. You will find that you can get by between meals with snacks. For example I eat an apple with a handleful of brazil nuts or maybe a couple of oatcakes with peanut butter.

Q: Will I have to eat less to lose weight

A: No, I recommend eating six times a day 3 meals and 3 snacks (this will be covered in the next post)

Q: Can I ask you for help?

A: I am happy to post information on here relating to thing you are unsure of. Simply post a comment and I will post and answer/suggestion
